Christmas Poem for Couples Getting Married

Twas the night before Christmas,
and all through the house,
not a creature was stirring,
not even a mouse.

The ring it was wrapped
in a box by the tree.
And soon he would surely
be down on one knee.

The couple awoke,
with a kiss and a cuddle.
The boyfriend was nervous,
his mind was a muddle.

They headed downstairs
and she opened his gift
He started to twitch,
and he started to shift.

As she opened the box
and she spotted the ring
“I do!” she did cry,
“I do!” she did sing.

Her happiness soon though
turned into despair,
“Oh who’ll do my makeup,
and who’ll do my hair!?”

She sat there in silence,
but wasn’t alone,
For her fiance was now also
glued to his phone.

So off to their viewings,
did our engaged couple head.
With ideas in mind and,
Clear plans in their head.

They asked the right questions,
and laughed on the way.
The excitement was brewing,
As they booked their big day!

They booked for a Thursday
in the summer season,
It fit with their budget,
weekday discount the reason.

They tasted some wines,
and selected their meal.
The gardens, the building,
they loved the whole feel!

Next up were photographers,
Cakemakers too!
But first a quick break,
For a mince pie or two!

Their guests saved the date,
and her hens they did squeal.
Their bank account smiled,
as her dress was a steal!

It was truly a Christmas
they’d never forget,
They’d planned their whole wedding,
not breaking a sweat!
